What characterizes the dives and remains engraved in the memories of divers, from the moment you put your head under the surface, are mainly two: the morphology of the seabed and the quantity and quality of wildlife that you can see during the dive . Sightings of fishes of medium and large size are very satisfactory.
The Ogliastra coasts are typical in many aspects. First of all the different types of rocks that have an impact on the morphology of the seabed. They range from granite walls near the tower Barisardo and in some lines in the area of Cala Moresca Arbatax and off the Orrì beach, to the red porphyry, characteristic of the Ogliastra coast, visible in the small isle of Santa Maria Navarrese, in the red rocks of Cape Bellavista and Arbatax, in the red rocks of Cea and in the south coasts of Cardedu and Gairo.
The basaltic area of the Teccu volcano, a rocky promontory in the Bari Sardo bay, offers enchanting underwater scenery during the dive. The incandescent lava in its rapid cooling with the water gave us suggestive basaltic formations which have the heptagonal form, so perfect that seem artificial. A siphon, ravines, crevices, walls and a thriving posidonia make it a charming site for diving and snorkeling.

Discover scuba diving Discover Scuba Diving is an underwater experience that not requires to take a course or to get a scuba certification. You can make it in a few hours at the cost of 60 € and it includes theory session, confined water session and open water dive from the shore. At the end of this you could decide between an another underwater experience from the boat at the cost of 40€ or the PADI Open Water Diver course . The scuba gear is included in the prices!
